Street Photography with Yashica Minitec AF

Good day street photographers! Today I'm sharing my new set of street photographs made with a Yashica Minitec AF, point-&-shoot camera, which I have had covered in my last couple of blog posts. This is my second roll on Kodak UltraMax 400. As usual, I'm not showing all 36 photos but only the best ones. So without much ado, let's make the jump.

Golden Egret @ Parkview Square

After I got my first roll of Kodak Portra 800 developed and scanned at the nearby neighborhood photo color lab, I bought another 2 rolls of Kodak UltraMax 400 there for SGD$14.00. I quite like the results as this time round the grains are much lesser compared to the first roll. I might try to shoot on ISO 200 film in the near future.

The top photo was taken at Parkview Square along North Bridge Road. From time to time I find myself going back to this place for this golden egret statute. I have shot it with my iPhone 6 Plus and just two years ago, with a Horizon Perfekt swing lens camera. Below is another shot in vertical, set against the bright blue cloudy sky.

After a couple of shots, I walked towards Arab Street and came across this vintage automobile parked by the road side right outside these shophouses. Looks pretty cool doesn't it?

I came across another automobile parked along Desker Road in Little India. Yes it is this pinky Mini Rover that caught my attention. Couldn't resist to take a few snapshots.

A day after our National Day I was out heading towards the food center for breakfast when I saw one of the residential apartment windows, hanging our nation flag, and then came along 2 men, walking in the same direction, both in their red tops. I positioned myself and composed the shot, waiting for them to walk right into the frame at the right spot, and...SNAP!!!

A week later I went to Zhongshan Mall on a Sunday morning. Weather was good. Zhongshan Mall is located along Balestier Road, and near Dr. Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, off Ah Hood Road. Upon reaching I saw this serviceman at work. Can you spot him in the photo?
The engraved Chinese characters on the rock reads
"Dr. Sun Yat Sen changed the fate and history of China".

Yet another week passed, I spotted an elderly man sat alone on a park bench in the early Saturday morning. Relaxing as you can tell the way he sat comfortably with his right knee up. Thought it was interesting to take a snapshot.

Another two weeks have passed, I decided to hit the street again to finish this roll. I'm a morning person and fortunately the weather was awesomely sunny in the warm morning. I managed to finish the roll and sent it to the photo lab in the afternoon. By nightfall, the photo lab emailed me the download link via WeTransfer.com for the 36 scanned photographs. So here are the rest of the street photos.

All 16-base scanned photos featured in this blog, are further post-processed in Adobe Photoshop 2020 for better enhancements on colors, brightness and contrast. To show the best results for all you readers and supporters' viewing pleasure. Hope you enjoy my work. If you have any comment, do leave them down below and I'd love to hear from you guys.
